This year, MBK Tape Solutions is celebrating 50 years in the tape converting business.  Founded by John Kaminski in 1971, the business has passed from father to son for three generations.  Being a family run company, relationship building with their customers, vendors and staff is critical to making a successful company.  With that being said, the company has earned a reputation for integrity, outstanding customer care and innovative tape solutions.

Jeff Kaminski, the President of MBK, has always believed in investing in and growing the people in the company.  All managers and workers participate in on-going training, focusing on personal and professional growth and becoming their personal best.  The doors of communication are always open, and collaboration is encouraged and valued.  With a well-rounded diverse staff boasting more than 100 years of combined engineering experience and nearly half the work force working at MBK an average of 15 years, MBK can focus on what it does best, provide tape expertise, scalable manufacturing solutions and reliable products.

MBK Partners with their Vendors

MBK is unique in their breadth and quality of products. Being around for 50 years, they have worked with tape manufacturers from around the world.  In recognition of their innovative tape converting solutions for a variety of industries, MBK has earned awards from 3M, Avery Dennison, Mactac, Tesa and many others.  Today, MBK is a Platinum 3M Preferred Converter, one of the highest levels attainable for a preferred converter, in both the Industrial and Medical arenas.

MBK Leads Industry Trends

In the 1970’s, MBK started by cutting shrink tubing and adhesive tape for aerospace and defense industries. As industry trends changed and technology advanced, MBK became more diverse, ranging from fenestration, electronics, POP displays to medical devices.  Today, MBK specializes in fabricating tape and flexible component parts and finished goods for stick to skin, food and pharmaceutical applications for OEM’s and start-up companies.

MBK Expands their Footprint

To accommodate the growth in sales, MBK moved and expanded their footprint several times. With the growth of the medical business, MBK added a mezzanine and cleanroom, but quarters became tight.  In 2017, MBK moved down the street to a new facility which nearly doubled the previous manufacturing footprint and included a state-of-the-art ISO Class 8 cleanroom with four, independent work cells for manufacturing and packaging.

MBK Continues Growth Capacity

Today, MBK has built an array of portable cleanrooms for job flexibility and have added a second facility, which is 100% climate controlled, operating machinery, warehousing inventory and providing redundant manufacturing.  As tape materials evolve and technology advances, machines have become more digitized.  MBK continually updates machines and acquires state-of-the-art converting equipment to expand their capabilities and capacity.  Stick with MBK for sustainable growth!
